Congressman Tiberi Earns Award from Seniors for Stance on Tax Reform

“We thank Congressman Tiberi for his work on behalf of America’s seniors.”

(Columbus, OH) – Congressman Pat Tiberi has been presented with the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award by the 60 Plus Association, a non-partisan organization representing more than 7.2 million seniors.

Tiberi (R-OH) has long been an advocate for Ohio seniors and a leading supporter of meaningful tax reform to create jobs and grow our economy.

“Congressman Tiberi has a strong record of support for family-friendly tax reform that will help businesses and the economy grow,” said 60 Plus Association Ohio Director Dwight Crum.

“Our tax code hasn’t been reformed in nearly 30 years. We need a modern and fair tax code that will make America globally competitive and create jobs.”
Crum said our outdated tax code is undermining economic growth and America’s competitiveness.

“I am honored to receive the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award,” said Congressman Tiberi. “Like all Americans, seniors would benefit from a simpler, more stable, more transparent tax code. Seniors are fortunate to have 60 Plus advocating on their behalf and I look forward to working with this organization to advance tax reform that spurs economic growth and job creation.”

“With leaders like Congressman Tiberi, there is hope that meaningful tax reform can be achieved,” Crum said. “We thank Congressman Tiberi for his work for seniors and hope his colleagues in Washington will follow his lead and work on substantive tax reform this year,” Crum said.
