(Hollywood, California) — Legendary singer and actor Pat Boone has had a long career of setting records on the music charts, at the box office, and in TV stardom, but today Boone celebrates a milestone that tops them all — his 60 years of marriage to his beautiful bride Shirley.

In a town where marriages are often recorded in months, the Boone’s 60 years together is a testament to the power of love that began when the up-and-coming singer first set eyes on Shirley Lee Foley, the daughter of former Grand Ole Opry star Red Foley, and an aspiring musical artist in her own right.

Pat and Shirley are blessed with four daughters, fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Through 60 years they have remained an inseparable institution throughout the entertainment world. Today they remain active as ever, with Pat still performing and recording, and serving as national spokesman for the 60 Plus Association, the acknowledged conservative alternative to the liberal AARP, based out of Alexandria, Virginia.
