Happy No Kings Day – Happy 4th of July: Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is when we commemorate the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.
Nowadays, liberals and progressives seem to prefer the term No King’s Day?!?
The Founding Father delegates of the Second Continental Congress declared that the Thirteen Colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress voted to approve independence by passing the Lee Resolution on July 2 and adopted the Declaration of Independence two days later, on July 4.
We still survive as a republic, electing our representative form of government. Sometimes better than worse, other times a country divided.
I’m proud to be an American… I stand and salute our flag… I kneel on bended knee to those who died for our freedoms and liberty… and I engage in the arena of politics to preserve the American Dream for our children and grandchildren.
I hope you had a chance to reflect on the gift of liberty we celebrate this weekend.
Arab-Muslim-Islam Problem: A good friend of mine, who happens to be an American of Palestinian decent, called me upset with a cartoon I posted in last Sunday’s newsletter. The cartoon depicted people protesting and implied, to me at least, if you don’t love/like America… leave… instead of trying to destroy it. It also depicted a woman wearing a hijab and a black man wearing a “Free Palestine” t-shirt.
To my friend, and I’m sure others, that was perceived to be racist and anti-Muslim. Which was NOT my intent nor the way I saw the cartoon.
I apologize for offending my friends and others.
I am an “America…love it or leave it” kind of guy. I believe this country is the greatest country on earth, and the founding principles set forth by our forefathers and the hope for the American Dream sets us apart from every other country in the world.
My family found its share of the American Dream in an auto factory in Detroit. My parents immigrated from Lithuania during World War II. They witnessed the Holocaust, they felt the pain of the Soviets taking their homeland and killing their family. But they were some of the lucky ones who were able to escape to the “promised land” and raise a family that appreciates the freedom and liberty the United States offers to all.
Radical Islam is a problem. Radical “anything” is normally a problem. And we have a bigger problem in that there are those who want to encourage hatred, division, riots, and discrimination (see Russia, China, ANTIFA, among others) effectively tearing us apart from within.
I am concerned about our enemies, both foreign and domestic… otherwise known as the “enemy from within.” There are those who have taken advantage of the policy disagreements, our cultural, and religious differences and stirred hatred and divisions across the country. From our college campuses to our beautiful cities, let alone our friends and family… hate and divison have replace tolerance and civilized debate and/or rational public discourse.
For me, this serves as a lesson. I have to be more careful in choosing my words, cartoons, and actions. We can all more easily fall into the “trap” of being part of the problem rather than the solution.
We face some serious challenges in our country. We have some legitimate policy differences. But there is no greater country, no better system, no stronger foundation than that which makes us Americans.
I’m yearning to find that “shining city on a hill” again… everywhere throughout America. But it won’t be without a lot of work, debate, tolerance, and understanding. Good luck my friends, we’ll need it.
Putin’s Russian War Crimes: Why do we tolerate this? Every parent and grandparent should be outraged. Not only has Putin’s Russia attacked a neighbor, it has kidnapped thousands of innocent children.
Christian organizations have documented 19,546 Ukrainian children that have been abducted by the Russians out of Ukraine. Older children are sent to military camps to be brainwashed to fight for Russia. Younger children who have been rescued show signs of sexual abuse.
Russia is abducting Ukrainian children. Russian authorities say that 730,000 Ukrainian children are currently in Russia. Putin needs Ukrainian children to build Russia’s population and provide new soldiers for the Russian army.
And let’s not forget… Russia is aiding Israel’s enemies. Russia has funded Iran’s war machine by purchasing $4 billion worth of Iranian kamikaze drones to use against Ukrainian civilians. The first place Hamas leadership traveled after October 7 was Moscow, and Vladimir Putin holds summits with Islamic terror organizations who want to erase Israel from the planet… and now Iran’s Mullahs.

The One Big, Beautiful Bill represents the priorities of the new Republican Party, which includes millions of working-class Americans who once called themselves Democrats. This bill builds on the blue-collar renaissance started by President Trump.
House passes Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’
House Republicans on Thursday passed President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” so it can be sent to his desk in time for the Fourth of July holiday.
The passage marks a significant achievement for House Speaker Mike Johnson and Trump, who corralled Republican hardliners all day Wednesday in order to get the necessary support. Some House Republicans opposed things like Medicaid reform and caps on state and local tax deductions.
The bill passed by a 218-214 vote, which included a flip from Ohio GOP Rep. Warren Davidson, who voted against the bill during the House’s first passage in May. All Democrats voted against the bill. GOP Reps. Thomas Massie, of Kentucky, and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, of Pennsylvania, were the only House Republicans who voted against the bill.
Johnson addressed the media after the bill’s passage, stating that what fueled Republican lawmakers to set an ambitious timeline to pass the legislation was “belief.”

Today is synonymous with fireworks, flags, parades and barbecues, but 33 percent of Americans do not plan to celebrate the nation’s 249th birthday. National pride has fallen to record lows, and a 2023 poll found that 41 percent of Americans do not know the meaning of Independence Day on the Fourth of July.
As a lead-up to next year’s 250th anniversary, a concerted effort should be made to educate citizens about the holiday and the risks the Founding Fathers took to make it happen. Little attention is paid to the collective bravery necessary to establish our country after the Declaration of Independence was signed, which severed ties with Great Britain, then a leading world power.
Eye-popping analysis of Trump’s win shows Democrats are in serious trouble

President Donald Trump has secured commitments for a record-shattering $1.4 billion since Election Day 2024, Fox News Digital has learned.
And advisors say he will be “an even more dominant force” for Republicans in the 2026 midterms.
The president’s political operation, including the cash on hand at the Republican National Committee, has raised a historic $900 million since November, and other commitments will bring the total to more than $1.4 billion.
Fox News Digital has learned the funds will be used to help Republicans keep their House and Senate majorities.
Republicans control the House with a 220-215 majority and control the Senate with a 53-47 majority.
Sources say the funds will also be used for whatever the president deems “necessary and appropriate.”

Trump’s Effort To Remove Noncitizens From Census Would Affect Elections
If the second Trump administration fails to win court approval of its expected effort to exclude illegal migrants from the census, this time around, it will have backup.
Following a years-long surge in illegal immigration, the Trump administration is poised to challenge a longstanding but legally fraught practice: counting illegal aliens in the U.S. census.
President Trump tried to end the practice during his first term, but President Biden overturned his predecessor’s policy before it was implemented. Now, buoyed by red state attorneys general and Republican legislators, the second Trump administration is determined “to clean up the census and make sure that illegal aliens are not counted,” White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller said last month.
What Miller didn’t mention are the political implications of the administration’s move. It could have significant political implications because the census count is used to apportion House seats, determine the number of votes each state gets in the Electoral College for selecting the president, and drive the flow of trillions of dollars in government funds
Three Pennsylvania Officials Who Cheated In Election Get Prison Time — One Is Still In Office
The scheme highlights still unaddressed vulnerabilities in the voting process that leave elections ripe for fraud.
In Pennsylvania, where officials swear elections are safe and secure, three elected officials are headed to prison after admitting they cheated in the 2021 election. Their cases reveal common vulnerabilities in the voting process that have yet to be cured.
The three men, who all at one time were elected Democrat members of the Millbourne Borough Council, tried to rig the mayoral election in favor of one of them. They failed by 30 votes, got caught, and in June each was sentenced to prison. Among the charges were conspiracy to commit voter fraud, giving false information in registering to vote, and fraudulent voter registration.
MD Nurul Hasan, 48, was sentenced to 36 months (3 years) prison. MD Munsur Ali, 48, was sentenced to 21 months in prison, one year of supervised release, and must pay $2,500. MD Rafikul Islam, 52, received 12 months and one day in prison, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice.
The men all pleaded guilty on April 1. At that time, Hasan and Ali were sitting on the Millbourne Council Board. On May 13, Hasan resigned from the board, and the council appointed someone to fill out his term, ending Dec. 31, 2027.
The Big Beautiful Bill Should Raise GOP Midterm Prospects
Despite President Trump’s unprecedented winning streak on the issues that won him the 2024 election, Capitol Hill Republicans are struggling going into the midterm election. If the election were held today, according to the Real Clear Polling average a generic Democrat would garner 45 percent of the vote, while a generic Republican would receive only 42.7 percent of the vote.
But that was before the Senate passage of President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.

More than 2,700 foreign terrorist organization members arrested nationwide
When it comes to immigration enforcement, Friday marked the 2,711th arrest of individuals linked to FTO-designated transnational criminal organizations, she said. Arrests are being made by Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the FBI and others.
Federal agents have so far arrested more than 2,700 members of transnational criminal organizations designated as foreign terrorist organizations, Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday.
Among them are members of the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration designated as an FTO in February.
A handful of district judges have tried to restrict the Trump administration from removing TdA members, as well as violent criminals, as part of a widespread effort to target crime, The Center Square has reported. The injunctions played a key role in attempts to block immigration enforcement, including high profile deportations of TdA members.
After Friday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling banning district judges from imposing nationwide injunctions, Bondi said, “No longer will we have rogue judges striking down President Trump’s policies across the entire nation.” The 6-3 Supreme Court ruling “correctly holds that the district court lacks authority to enter nationwide or universal injunctions. These lawless injunctions gave relief to everyone in the world instead of the parties before the court,” she said, effectively turning “district courts into the imperial judiciary.”

As Russia Escalates Attacks on Civilians, U.S. Halts Key Weapons Shipment to Ukraine
At a moment when Russia is intensifying its assault on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, the United States has abruptly paused a critical shipment of advanced weapons to Kyiv—raising alarm in Ukraine and sending a chilling signal to the Kremlin.
According to NBC News, the Pentagon has temporarily halted the transfer of key munitions, including Patriot interceptors, precision-guided GMLRS missile systems, Howitzer shells, and anti-aircraft Stingers, amid concerns about the state of U.S. stockpiles. After Trump cut support, US lawmakers press for action on Russian abductions of Ukrainian children
A bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers introduced a resolution in Congress demanding the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, according to a press release published on June 30.
Kyiv estimates that Russia has abducted or forcibly displaced at least 19,500 Ukrainian children since the outbreak of the full-scale invasion of 2022, and has deported them to Russia, Belarus, or the occupied territories of Ukraine.
The resolution, introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Democratic Congressman Gregory Meeks and Michael McCaul, a Republican chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, condemns the abductions and calls for the repatriation of children even before a potential peace deal.
Senators Chuck Grassley (Republican) and Amy Klobuchar (Democrat) introduced the resolution in the Senate.
“These children have been stripped of their national identity, adopted into Russian families, or indoctrinated as soldiers for the Kremlin,” McCaul said in a statement.
“Russia’s mass-scale child abduction is nothing short of evil; the United States must demonstrate moral leadership by demanding every child be returned to his or her family in Ukraine before true peace can be achieved.”
