Democrats Threaten Government Shutdown – That’s Their Plan?!?

The reaction has been irrational, vicious, extraordinarily harsh…Americans have long thought that ordinary decency requires that you don’t speak ill of the dead. Certainly not in the immediate aftermath. Yet we have seen that and it’s been poisonous to so many people that it reflects badly on the American left and therefore to some extent on the political party that represents the left.

The more I learned about him, I thought this guy is a modern-day Saint Paul. He was a missionary, he’s an evangelist, he’s a hero. He’s one I think that knew what Jesus meant when he said, ‘The truth will set you free.’”

– Timothy Cardinal Dolan on Charlie Kirk

Our ultimate goal is a path to citizenship to all 11 million or however many there are here…

– Democrat Senate Leader Chuck Schumer

Democrats to Shut Down the Government: Democrat leaders have announced they will not vote for any budget that won’t fund programs for illegal immigrants. If the can’t get what they want, the will shut down the government for America.

Specifically, Chuck Schumer and Democrats in Congress are demanding free health insurance for illegal aliens, half a billion dollars for NPR, and a $1.5 trillion spending increase in exchange for averting a government shutdown.

Think about it???

Democrats think it’s smart politics to be obstructionists? Play partisan politics. Oppose anything that is Trump related.

This is today’s Democrat party… controlled by the violent, far-left progressive wing. Just wow.

Still Sad: This week has been full of conversations about the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the unhinged violent response by so many of the left.

I hope America is watching.

Conservatives didn’t riot in the streets, burn cities, or call for others to assassinate anyone.

Instead, people prayed, they questioned the left’s dogma, and they challenged those who oppose freedom of speech. The difference between the right and the left couldn’t be more clear.

NO violence, especially political violence, is excusable. The are no “but” or “however” in these conversations.

Young people seem to be waking up. Engaging, joining, praying, and speaking out… a healthy thing after the progressive WOKE culture and mainstream media have tried so hard to shut them down.

Freedom works!!!

There Can Be No Peace Or Unity With A Violent, Unrepentant Left

Enough with the false, lazy rhetoric blaming ‘both sides’ for political violence in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder.

In the days since Charlie Kirk’s assassination by a radical Antifa terrorist, a refrain has arisen in the corporate press and the political establishment that we must come together, lower the temperature, tone down the rhetoric, and condemn political violence on both sides. In order to have peace, they say, we have to have unity.

But there can be no peace or unity without first telling the truth, and the truth is that both-sidesism, the polite fiction that the American left and right have a problem with political violence, is a damnable lie — and everyone peddling it is a moral coward.

Case in point is David French, the man willing to say anything for a paycheck and a column at The New York Times. Over the weekend, French published a piece, “There Are Monsters in Your Midst, Too,” arguing that America has a problem with political violence on both the right and the left. To call out the left for Kirk’s assassination, or argue that the left is inherently more violent than the right, says French, is nothing more than confirmation bias. In his usual scolding schoolmarm style, French argues that “partisan blindness” makes it easy to see the evil of the opposition while explaining away or justifying the evil on our side.

Behind the Curtain: GOP future foretold

What does a post-Trump Republican Party look like? The past week has given us a clear glimpse of the most likely trajectory, based on conversations with top White House and MAGA officials.

Why it matters: As the White House and President Trump’s political ecosystem mobilized after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, rising power centers — which we’d been hearing about for some time — were suddenly in plain sight.

Here’s what to watch, based on reporting by Axios’ Marc Caputo and Alex Isenstadt:

Frustrated GOP senators blow steam on Russia: ‘Sick of’ Trump, Vance ‘love affair’ with Putin

Senate Republicans are growing increasingly exasperated over President Trump’s refusal to give them permission to move tough bipartisan sanctions legislation against Russia and countries that buy its oil.

Trump pressed European allies over the weekend to levy harsher sanctions against Russia, but he has dragged his feet on the bipartisan sanctions bill, which Republican senators were hoping to get done in July.

The failure to act is fueling growing disillusionment among some Senate Republicans that Trump is not serious about helping Ukraine.

One Republican senator who requested anonymity to comment candidly on the stalemate over the sanctions legislation questioned whether Trump would ever come around to backing more military aid to Ukraine or slapping harsh sanctions on Russia.

America’s Turning Point

Kirk’s assassination comes at an inflection point in American culture and politics. Donald Trump’s political career, and the corresponding progressive response, have revealed the degree to which leftist cultures can serve as incubators of hatred. Casual progressive dehumanization has spread into disturbing displays of gruesome violence. In just the past year, the public witnessed Trump’s attempted assassination, an anti-Trump transgender slaughter of Catholic school children, and a gruesome stabbing in Charlotte.

While each individual is responsible for their individual actions, the media and other left-wing responses to violent incidents paint a clear and troubling picture. Violence on the left tends to be minimized, while rhetoric on the right is treated as synonymous with violence itself.

That Kirk was assassinated on a college campus—a sanctuary of left-wing thought—is profound. Progressive students sought to silence Kirk by petitioning the college to deplatform him on the grounds of hate speech just prior to his death.

In light of the left’s unchecked, ideologically based dehumanization of their political opponents, words like “bigot” and “fascist” are simultaneously losing their stigma and morphing in meaning. People no longer assume the person labeled a bigot is morally corrupt. Instead, the individual hurling the insult is suspect.

Former Republican senator on potential bid to flip swing state seat red: ‘this is a race I know I can win’

It’s been nearly two decades since former Sen. John E. Sununu’s name has been on the ballot, but if the New Hampshire Republican decides to launch a 2026 campaign for the swing state’s open Senate seat, he’s confident he can win.

“I’m sure that if we put together a strong team, this is a race that can be won. This is a race I know I can win. And more importantly, it’s a role where I know I can make a difference for New Hampshire,” Sununu said, in his strongest comments to date, in an exclusive national interview with Fox News Digital.

The former senator, who reiterated he’ll “make a decision in October” on whether to launch a Senate campaign in the expected competitive race to succeed retiring Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, said “it’s a winnable race for the right person who reflects our state’s values, not the values of Washington.”

House members’ security budgets double after Charlie Kirk assassination

House lawmakers will see a stipend for personal private security double in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, with members on both sides of the aisle concerned about the rise in political violence.

The stipend for the personal security pilot program will increase from $5,000 to $10,000 a month. It will be active until Nov. 21, the same deadline for the short-term spending deal proposed by GOP leadership, which punts funding the government another seven weeks.

The $5,000 pilot program was set to expire on Sept. 30, which was enacted in July following the assassination of Minnesota Democratic state Speaker Melissa Hortman and a year after the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.

In the wake of Kirk’s shooting, both Democrats and Republicans have expressed concerns about holding outdoor events. Some have complained that leadership hasn’t done enough to keep members safe, as well.

Review of domestic terrorism after Kirk’s murder shows Biden politicized issue, intel, fudged data

A useful picture of the domestic terrorism threat in America in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk has not yet come into focus, as the actual threat-scape has been muddled by the politicization of intelligence and by an overbroad use of the phrase “domestic terrorism.”

A review of the Biden administration’s application of the phrase shows that the phrase was used as a justification for targeting January 6 rioters, parents concerned about what their children were being taught in schools, and a wildly uneven treatment of those groups when compared to the widespread violence and destruction caused by Antifa and other progressive groups.

The issue came to light as authorities announced last week that they had arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection to the killing of Kirk, a popular conservative influencer and ally of President Donald Trump. Robinson allegedly gunned down Kirk last Wednesday at Utah Valley University. Kirk’s murder comes after two attempted assassinations of Trump and years of the Biden administration pointing to the January 6 riots and claiming “rightwing” extremism or “domestic terrorism” as the main domestic threat facing the U.S.

Trump: Biden Tried to Put Charlie Kirk ‘Out of Business

President Donald Trump late Tuesday night accused former President Joe Biden’s administration of having tried to force conservative leader Charlie Kirk and his organization, Turning Point USA, “out of business” through a wide-ranging election probe led by special counsel Jack Smith.

His comments on Truth Social came after Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed earlier in the day that Kirk’s organization had been one of the Republican-linked groups targeted by Arctic Frost, the FBI’s investigation that began with Smith’s electors charge against Trump.

“Why was the wonderful Turning Point under INVESTIGATION by ‘Deranged’ Jack Smith and the Corrupt & Incompetent Biden Administration?” Trump posted on his Truth Social page. “They tried to force Charlie, and many other people and movements, out of business. They Weaponized the Justice Department against Sleepy Joe Biden’s Political Opponents, including ME!”

Massive Downward Jobs Revision Reveals The Media Lied About Biden’s Economic Record

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) delivered a body blow to the corporate media industrial complex’s narrative of a robust Biden economy. In its preliminary benchmark revision, the agency slashed its estimate of nonfarm employment growth from March 2024 to March 2025 by a whopping 911,000 jobs — a downward adjustment of 0.6 percent out of 159 million jobs.

Nearly lost in the BLS news report and in the major media is the fact that the revision wipes out half of the new jobs reported through Biden’s last year in office, down from approximately 1.8 million to around 900,000.

This isn’t a minor tweak; it’s proof that the job market was far weaker than the glowing headlines suggested during the Biden administration’s twilight.

For months in 2024, the Biden White House and its major media allies trumpeted “historic” job gains, painting a picture of unbreakable economic strength. They dismissed any skepticism as partisan delusion or conspiracy-mongering. Yet this huge downward revision reveals the truth: The economy wasn’t the powerhouse they claimed. Further, it was cooling well before President Donald Trump took office, with overestimation likely stemming from, at best, systemic errors in BLS surveys and, at worst, partisan bias in what’s supposed to be a neutral arm of the government.

The irony is thick — Biden’s boosters may have talked themselves into complacency, convincing the Federal Reserve that rate cuts weren’t urgent. As inflation lingered and growth sputtered, ordinary Americans paid the price.

Estonia sounds alarm after Russian fighter jets intrude into country’s airspace

The intrusions have been viewed as Russia testing the NATO alliance during the country’s Ukraine conflict.

“Earlier today, Russian jets violated Estonian airspace. NATO responded immediately and intercepted the Russian aircraft. This is yet another example of reckless Russian behaviour and NATO’s ability to respond,” a NATO spokesperson posted on X.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a Telegram post that the country did not violate Estonian airspace and that the jets had acted in compliance with international regulations.

Russia has signaled a willingness to expand its Ukraine conflict to new frontiers with its intrusions, which have worried NATO allies. Both Estonia and Poland have invoked NATO Article 4, which allows a NATO state to have conversations about threats to its security.

Estonia is one of two European states that share a land border with Russia but are also part of the NATO alliance. Ukraine and Belarus are not part of the NATO alliance, though the former country has sought membership.

The Russian jets intruding into Estonian airspace did not file flight plans with their government or have their transponders on. Finnish jets intercepted the Russian aircraft once they flew over the Gulf of Finland, and Italian F-35s then took over and escorted the aircraft out once they entered Estonian airspace.
