Anthony Sabatini Earns Legislator of the Month Award

Rep. Sabatini Works Tirelessly for his Constituency

Washington, DC (November 15, 2021) – On behalf of more than five million senior supporters of the 60 Plus Association, the American Association of Senior Citizens, we applaud Florida State Representative Anthony Sabatini’s (R- Howey-in-the-Hills) for his steadfast efforts for his district and our country.

At an event on Capitol Hill where State Rep. Sabatini received the award 60 Plus President Saul Anuzis said, “Anthony is a proven leader that can be trusted to uphold the Constitution and fight for his constituents as reflected in legislation that he has introduced or signed into law by Gov. DeSantis (R-FL).  He takes great pride by being a member of the Florida National Guard as well as serving the citizens of his district.

“One piece of legislation that he fought hard to expand is HB 205: Unlawful Use of Uniforms, Medals, or Insignia. This legislation now includes prosecuting those who lie or distort their military record while running for office. The Florida law had already made it illegal for a person to either misrepresent himself or herself as a member of the military but thanks to Sabatini the law was expanded in order to clarify a line about “Material Gain,” by making sure it applies to those running for political office or applying for a job.

“We appreciate Rep. Sabatini’s unyielding support to seniors by sponsoring legislation that has seniors’ best interest at heart such as HB 65, Red Tape Reduction Act that would reduce regulations on businesses, families, and especially for seniors living on a fixed income. No one should ever have to be in a position having to choose between eating and taking life-saving medication. We are grateful for his leadership and his service to our great country,” Anuzis concluded.
