Senior Suckup: $250 Checks To Buy Senior Vote

President Uses Wheaton, Maryland Senior Center As Political Backdrop

Statement by 60 Plus Association Chairman Jim Martin

Alexandria, VA – What a shameful act, an insult really, handing out $250 checks to seniors as if that will make up for Obamacare which will soon lead to long lines as rationing of care for the elderly is on the horizon.

Brazen is what comes to mind. I’ve said it all along. Obamacare is bad bad medicine especially for seniors.

Bur I couldn’t have said it better than 60 Plus Association senior citizen, retired teacher Tony DeBenedittis, on Your World with Neil Cavuto. Asked if the $250 checks were a ‘suckup to seniors,’ Tony replied, somewhat succinctly, “they’re nothing more than a good old-fashioned Chicago bribe.”

Liberal politicians, led by the President himself, decided to take a wrecking ball to a system that clearly needed change to reduce cost but that works so well for so many.  Now the President, knowing a senior citizen tsunami is headed toward the halls of Congress — fixing to flood his allies — is trying to assuage/mollify seniors from the pains of a half trillion dollars in cuts to Medicare by issuing them $250 checks.

I tell seniors to take the money and head to the bank, especially those on fixed incomes, but the President knows seniors have long memories, especially when it comes to these horrendous cuts.

Tony DeBenedittis also said on Cavuto’s show: “Do you believe anything Obama says? It changes so often. I need my pacemaker in 6 years (paid for by Medicare), not 250 bucks now!”
