THE VILLAGES, Florida (October 3, 2019) – 60 Plus Association, and American Association of Senior Citizens Founder and Chairman James Martin today issued the following statement at the conclusion of President Trump’s Medicare announcement in Florida Thursday.

“Seniors are absolutely thrilled about President Trump’s improvements to Medicare. His announcement Thursday brought thousands of Florida seniors to their feet in appreciation of his efforts.

“People who are enrolled in Medicare know how historic today’s Medicare changes are, and they showed their appreciation for President Trump and the fact that he is keeping his promises in spite of an obstructionist House of Representatives.

“The atmosphere in the audience in The Villages was electric and the enthusiasm of Florida’s seniors for this president eclipses anything I have seen in my experience. It was also gratifying to see some of 60 Plus’s 800,000 Florida members in the crowd today.

“It’s was humbling for me to have a literal front row seat to history in The Villages Thursday and to be surrounded by so many people who understand what is at stake for Medicare. Seniors do not want Medicare to be corrupted by socialist health care schemes. They want quality health care with lower costs, more choice and improved security. That is what President Trump promised and that is what he is delivering.”
