Is Putin Trying Playing Trump?: No one believes Putin is interested in peace… rather trying to buy time as Ukraine makes advances and has success on the battlefield.
Once again, President Trump is bending over backwards to try and broker a peace deal and stop the killing. Unfortunately, the ONLY thing Putin understands is strength.
Let’s be realistic, Putin’s ceasefire proposals may be aimed at delaying new sanctions and shifting blame to Ukraine if talks fail. Russia often uses such tactics to buy time and avoid accountability for continued aggression.
I hope I’m wrong, but I think Putin is trying to play Trump for time.

Thank You President Trump!
President Trump bent over backwards to give Putin every chance possible to have peace. But it is clear Putin does NOT want peace because of his own failures on the domestic front would doom his presidency.
Putin lied to Trump. Putin tried to play Trump. Putin took advantage of Trump’s willingness to push for peace. Putin thought he could fool Trump once again.
Putin’s most horrific act has been his willingness to kidnap Ukrainian children. The fact is that Christian organizations have documented 19,546 Ukrainian children that have been abducted by the Russians out of Ukraine. Older children are sent to military camps to be brainwashed to fight for Russia. Younger children who have been rescued show signs of sexual abuse.
Russia is abducting Ukrainian children. Russian authorities say that 730,000 Ukrainian children are currently in Russia. Putin needs Ukrainian children to build Russia’s population and provide new soldiers for the Russian army.
Enough is enough. President Trump and NATO have given Putin more time and options than this war criminal deserves.

White House reportedly preparing trilateral meeting between Trump, Zelenskyy and Putin
Trump administration sources reveal the White House is actively organizing a three-way presidential summit that could bring together the US, Ukraine’s and Russia’s presidents as early as next week
The White House is working to organize a three-way meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, sources in the Trump administration told Ukrainian media Suspilne.
The negotiations could take place as early as next week, though the venue has not yet been determined, according to the sources.
White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt confirmed that President Trump remains open to meetings with leaders from both countries.
“As President Trump said yesterday (on 7 August), the Russians have expressed a desire to meet with President Trump, and the president is open to this meeting. President Trump would like to meet with both President Putin and President Zelenskyy because he wants this brutal war to end. The White House is working out the details of these potential meetings, and details will be provided at the appropriate time,” Leavitt said.
Russia launched ‘catalog’ of kidnapped Ukrainian children up for adoption: ‘This is digital child trafficking’
Russia has launched a twisted adoption database where kidnapped Ukrainian children can be sorted by age, eye and color, and number of siblings, according to the NGO seeking to return Kyiv’s stolen children.
Mykola Kuleba, CEO of the Save Ukraine organization, raised the alarm over the Russian database on Wednesday, warning that the 294 children on the site are effectively being trafficked by the Kremlin.
“These children are presented like products in an e-commerce store, sortable by age, gender, eye and hair color, health status, and even personality traits,” Kuleba wrote on X.

Russian occupation authorities in Ukraine created an online “catalog” where Ukrainian children are offered up for adoption while sorted based on physical traits like eye or hair color, a head of a Ukrainian NGO said on Aug. 6, denouncing the practice as child trafficking.
The database, which includes data on 294 children, is available on the education department of the Russian occupation authorities in Luhansk Oblast.
“Most children in this catalog were born in Luhansk Oblast before the Russian occupation and had Ukrainian citizenship,” Mykola Kuleba, CEO of the Save Ukraine organization, said in an Instagram post.
“Parents of some of them were killed by occupation authorities, others were simply issued Russian identification documents to legitimize their abduction.”
The news underscores the impact of Russian aggression against Ukraine on the country’s most vulnerable groups, namely children.
Ukraine has identified more than 19,500 children abducted by Russia during the full-scale war and forcibly transferred to Russia, the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine, or Belarus. Only 1,480 have been brought back home.
Ukrainian officials estimate the real figure of abducted children could be far higher. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets puts the number at up to 150,000, while Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Daria Herasymchuk has given a range of 200,000–300,000.

Trump authorizes military force against drug cartels: report

President Donald Trump has reportedly ordered the Pentagon to begin using military force against drug cartels that have been deemed terrorist organizations under his administration, people familiar with the matter revealed to the New York Times.
Anna Kelly, a spokeswoman for the White House, told the outlet when asked about Trump authorizing military force against cartels, “President Trump’s top priority is protecting the homeland, which is why he took the bold step to designate several cartels and gangs as foreign terrorist organizations.”
The sources said that US military officials have begun preparing options for how to go after the designated cartel groups. Per the outlet, the directive is “focused on US forces directly capturing or killing people involved in the drug trade.”
This comes as National Guardsmen and active duty troops have been deployed to the border under the Trump administration to stem the flow of drugs and illegal immigrants over the border. The Trump administration has labeled criminal organizations, such as Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and most recently, the Venezuelan Cartel of the Suns, or Cartel de los Soles, as terrorist organizations.
