Dear Attorney General Laxalt,\n\nAs a senior citizen in our great state, I urge you to join with 27 other state attorneys general in a lawsuit challenging a new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Rule, known as the Clean Power Plan. The rule, as promulgated by the EPA, would result in dramatically higher electricity bills and significantly less reliable service for seniors across the country.\n\nThe policies pursued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have resulted in the elimination of low-cost and reliable sources of electricity and replaced it with more expensive and less reliable sources. This will cause electricity prices to rise and harm senior citizens like me, many of whom are on fixed incomes.\n\nExperts say EPA's power plant rules have already brought our nation's electric grid close to the edge of breaking.\n\nPlease join with 27 other states to stop this misguided regulatory action by an out-of-touch EPA.
